Metoprolol Tartrate

Beta Blocker



Indication:

• Angina Pectoris
• Cardiac Arrhythmias
• Management of Hypertension
• Adjunct in Hyperthyroidism
• Prophylaxis of Migraine
• Post MI


Dosage & Administration:

• 50-100 mg BID/TID
• 50 mg BID/TID; increased to 300 mg daily in divided doses if needed
• Initially, 50-100 mg daily in single or 2 divided doses. Maintenance: 100-200 mg daily; up to 400 mg daily
• 50 mg 4 times daily
• 100-200 mg daily in divided doses


Preparation:

Metop® 12.5 tablet: Box containing 30 x 5 tablets in blister pack.
Metop® 25 tablet: Box containing 30 x 5 tablets in blister pack.
Metop® 50 tablet: Box containing 30 x 5 tablets in blister pack.
