Metoprolol Succinate

Beta Blocker



Indication:

• Hypertension
• Angina Pectoris
• Heart Failure
• Arrhythmias


Dosage & Administration:

• Usual Initial: 25-100 mg OD. Can be increased at weekly interval.
• Usual initial: 100mg OD. Gradual increment suggested on weekly interval.
• Recommended starting dose: 25mg OD. More severe HF: 12.5mg OD. Double the dose every two weeks to the highest i.e. 200mg.


Preparation:

Metop® XR 25 tablet: Box containing 30 x 5 tablets in blister pack.
Metop® XR 50 tablet: Box containing 30 x 5 tablets in blister pack.
